Our Story
My name is Chris Duty, and I own and operate CD Roofing & Construction. I’m able to offer clients more options and a true one-call solution for a wide range of restoration and construction needs.
I’ve spent the majority of my professional life in the contracting and construction world. I began my professional life in law enforcement, where I served for five years. While I loved many aspects of that job, I ultimately chose to step away to focus on raising a young family. The values I learned in law enforcement—integrity, accountability, attention to detail, and helping people in difficult moments—have stayed with me and continue to shape how I do business today.
After leaving the police department, I owned and operated a porcelain refinishing company while also remodeling bathrooms and kitchens for nearly 15 years. I later served as a facilities director at a large golf course, a general manager for a sports facility, and even helped a small startup baseball bat company grow. Each role added to my understanding of leadership, operations, and customer service.
How it started
About three years ago, I entered roofing sales—something I never thought I would do. I quickly realized how much I missed construction, building lasting relationships with clients, and helping homeowners navigate the frustration and uncertainty that often come with property damage and insurance claims. The constantly evolving world of construction products, methods, and materials continues to motivate me.
My wife, Shauna, and I met in high school and have been married for 33 years. Shauna has spent many years in internet marketing and has built two dental marketing companies. She is published in the dental field and has written several books. We have three children and six grandchildren, and we are incredibly proud of our family.
Our oldest daughter, Alysen, is in the final stages of becoming a therapist and is already seeing clients. She has a special passion for helping first responders. Her husband, Paul, is a Captain with a local fire department, he served nine years in the U.S. Army with tours in Iraq, and also works in an emergency room on his days off from the FD.
Our middle son, Riese, and his wife, Cara, own a Farmers Insurance agency in Henderson, Texas. Riese also serves on the Henderson City Council—I wouldn’t be surprised to see him as mayor within the next ten years. Our youngest daughter, Madison, is in college, and her husband, Christian, works for the City of Fort Worth as an engineer.
Madison joined our family through adoption and was the final missing piece to our puzzle. Riese and Cara’s three children also came to our family through adoption. Shauna and I are truly blessed and continually amazed by our kids.
